
Delicious Baked Ham – Christmas Special
Ingredients:
1 onion sliced
1 carrot large, sliced
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 tablespoons parsley fresh sprigs
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon thyme dried
1 ham (2 Kg) cooked, skinned and trimmed of fat
1 1/2 cup beef broth
60 ml white wine
1/3 cup sugar (powdered)
Salt – to taste

This Christmas celebrate the occasion with a sumptuous dinner of Baked Ham, a wholesome treat for your entire family to enjoy.
Direction:
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 165° C.
Step 2:
Heat oil and butter in a roasting pan and then put the vegetables and sauté it for 10 minutes or until they are light brown. Then add parsley, bay leaf and thyme and sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 3:
Now place the ham over vegetables, add broth along with white wine and bring it to simmer. Cover and place roaster in the oven. Adjust heat so that it simmers for about an hour. Then baste frequently with juices in the pan.
Step 4:
Now remove pan from the oven and sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of the ham and place it in the oven. Keep an eye until it has a brown color. Remove from oven and let it cool, then keep it in a refrigerator.
Step 5:
Slice the ham and arrange them on plate and serve at room temperature.
