Apple recently launched MacBook Air Netbooks, their highly compact and ultra portable line of notebooks. Due to its slim size you can carry it anywhere, work on it at almost in any place and have a battery life to compliment its mobility. At first look it may look like an IPad with keyboard support but a closer look will reveal its true potential. The hardware specs of this little beauty quite appreciable except for the processor which is a little bit old. The MacBook sports a solid stunning look with decent performance, albeit a slower “ULV Core” Core 2 Duo CPU with 6MB L2 Cache, clock frequency ranging from 1.4Ghzto 2.13 Ghz. It comes preconfigured with 2GB or 4GB Ram along with 64GB /128GB / 256 GB Flash Memory.
The MacBook Air boasts a 1440 x 900 hi-resolution display with Nvidia GeForce 320m mobile graphics processor. Everything packed in neat unique aluminum design which just weighs just about 2.9 pounds. Major improvements over older MacBook models, is in the disk storage as it has Flash memory instead of hard disk there by extending the battery life to 7 hours stretch and 30 days of standby mode. It has other nifty features like instant-on, installable software flash drives as a replacement for optical drives.
But it is a disappointment that in terms of connectivity the MacBook doesn’t offer 3G mobile internet in any of its models. Estimated street price of the 11” model with 64GB Flash Memory is about $999, while the 128GB variant costs around $1,200.
