Fedora 16 (codenamed Verne). Fedora - distribution of Linux.

Sponsored by Red Hat and supported by the community. The project is to

test new technologies, which are then incorporated into Red Hat

products and other manufacturers. Red Hat is not providing support to

users of Fedora, support is provided by an open community.



Major changes:

Loader GRUB2;

New service management software - Systemd;

Updated to the latest releases of KDE 4.7 and GNOME 3.1 (GNOME 3.2 is

available now only in the test repository);

Increased the number of possible user accounts from 500 to 1000;

Improved and updated: virtualization, SELinux, Ada, Perl, Haskell.
