Paypal Scam - A New Threat to Internet Shoppers
Posted On 11/23/2011 14:57:34 by sudip

Guys Beware !!!!

Just like to share with you a latest scam from paypa1.com. Read it again, it is not PAYPAL.COM BUT PAYPA1.COM.

They send you an email with exactly same looks as if paypal would have. The mail is sent from service@paypa1.com (notice the domain is clearly paypa1.com i.e. there is a number “1” instead of letter “l”.

The email contains a link to update your account just like this

http://update.paypa1.com-cgi-bin-webscr-cmd.msyhlez.za.net/ConfirmID=75545445

Clicking on the above link will take to you website that is an exact copy of Paypal.com. All the internal links points to paypal.com but clicking the submit button actually submit all your personal information including your credit card details to this scam site. So be very careful to click any links from these kind of emails as you could be a victim of credit card/debit card fraud.

Below is the website of paypa1.com (look closely)

 Fake Paypa1 Website
